Let’s Write Letters to Mike Hughes Hayes about What and How You Want to Learn about AI
“Regard and Honor to the Youth of the World... May their pursuit of knowledge, truth, and beauty bring a more radiant life to all.”
To my Fellow Seniors, Elders, and Mentors across the Globe,
When we launched the Letters to the World movement, our mission was simple: to break through the digital noise and establish an unbroken bridge of connection, love, and guidance between our generation and the youth who are shaping tomorrow. The letters we write carry history, perspective, and a unique moral light that young people desperately need as they navigate an increasingly complex world.
But to guide them effectively, we must first empower ourselves. Artificial intelligence is transforming the landscape of human knowledge, yet we cannot allow it to become a tool that alienates us or isolates the next generation. We must master it on our own terms. We don’t need perfection; we need progress. We need to tell the builders of this technology exactly what we want to learn and how we want to learn it.
That is why I am asking you to write a letter directly to me today. I want to know your raw thoughts, your curiosities, your anxieties, and your goals regarding AI. Tell me what tools you want demystified, what skills you wish to acquire, and how we can best tailor the AI Super Campus to serve your wisdom.
How to Write and Send Your Letter Using AI
We are going to use the technology itself to speak back to the technology. You do not need to be a computer expert to do this. By using an AI tool to help organize your thoughts and utilizing your existing Gmail account, you can join this global conversation in just a few simple steps:
Speak or Type Your Thoughts to Your AI Assistant: Open your preferred AI tool (such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini). Don't worry about being formal. Simply type or dictate what is on your mind. Tell the AI: "Help me write a letter to Mike Hughes Hayes about what I want to learn about AI, what confuses me, and how I prefer to learn." Review and edit the draft it gives you until it feels entirely yours.
Copy and Open in Gmail: Once your letter is ready inside the AI window, look for the built-in "Share" button or use the option to export directly to Gmail. If you are on a smartphone or tablet, clicking the share feature will let you choose Gmail from your app list, which will instantly drop your letter right into a fresh email draft.
Address and Send: In the "To:" field of your Gmail draft, type my direct movement email address: [email protected]. Give your email a subject line like "My AI Journey" or "Letters to Mike," and click send.
Our Blueprint for Progress
We are treating this movement like true innovators. We are not waiting around for a flawless master plan. Instead, we are committing to a continuous cycle of action and learning:
Test ➔ Observe ➔ Adjust ➔ Expand
By writing to me, you provide the vital human insights we need to build our baseline. We will test these learning pathways, observe what works for you, adjust the tools to fit your natural style, and expand the movement until every senior has the cognitive literacy to stand as a digital mentor to the youth they love.
Let's cut through the hesitation. Use the AI, click share in Gmail, and send your thoughts to [email protected]. Let’s write our letters, claim our space in this digital era, and guide the world together.
With the utmost respect, camaraderie, and determination,
Mike Hughes Hayes Senior Editor, AI Super Campus for Good & SAFE: Senior AI Forum Educators (Non-Profit)
